Psalms 131:1 - Forerunner Commentary

Psalms 131:1

1 Lord, my heart is not¹ haughty,
Nor my eyes¹ lofty.
^aNeither do I¹ concern myself with great matters,
Nor with things too¹ profound for me.

2 Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul,
^aLike a weaned child with his mother;
Like a weaned child is my soul within me.

3 ^aO Israel, hope in the Lord
From this time forth and forever.
