Simple Trust in the Lord

A Song of Ascents. Of David.

1 Lord, my heart is not1 haughty,
Nor my eyes1 lofty.
aNeither do I1 concern myself with great matters,
Nor with things too1 profound for me.
2 Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul,
aLike a weaned child with his mother;
Like a weaned child is my soul within me.
3 aO Israel, hope in the Lord
From this time forth and forever.
