Ecclesiastes 9:17
Of wise men - Though poor. In quiet - Uttered with a modest and low voice. The cry - The clamorous discourses of a rich and potent, but foolish man.
15 Now there was found in it a poor wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the city. Yet no one remembered that same poor man.
16 Then I said:
“Wisdom is better than astrength.
Nevertheless bthe poor man’s wisdom is despised,
And his words are not heard.
“Wisdom is better than astrength.
Nevertheless bthe poor man’s wisdom is despised,
And his words are not heard.
18 Wisdom is better than weapons of war;
But aone sinner destroys much good.”
But aone sinner destroys much good.”
