That the Lord shall set His hand again the second time
To recover the remnant of His people who are left,
aFrom Assyria and Egypt,
From Pathros and Cush,
From Elam and Shinar,
From Hamath and the islands of the sea.
And will1 assemble the outcasts of Israel,
And gather together athe dispersed of Judah
From the four1 corners of the earth.
And the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off;
Ephraim shall not envy Judah,
And Judah shall not harass Ephraim.
Together they shall plunder the1 people of the East;
aThey shall lay their hand on Edom and Moab;
And the people of Ammon shall obey them.
With His mighty wind He will shake His fist over1 the River,
And strike it in the seven streams,
And make men cross over1 dry-shod.
Who will be left from Assyria,
bAs it was for Israel
In the day that he came up from the land of Egypt.

Isaiah 11:13
Ephraim - Of the ten tribes, frequently called by the name of Ephraim. Of enemies they shall be made friends. The adversaries - Not the body of Ephraim, for they are supposed to be reconciled, and they shall not be cut off, but live in love with Judah, as we see by the next clause; but those few of them who continue in their enmity together with all the rest of their adversaries.
