‘It is useless to serve God;
What profit is it that we have kept His ordinance,
And that we have walked as mourners
Before the Lord of hosts?
For those who do wickedness are1 raised up;
They even btempt God and go free.’ ”
A Book of Remembrance
And the Lord listened and heard them;
So ca book of remembrance was written before Him
For those who fear the Lord
And who1 meditate on His name.
“On the day that I make them My bjewels.
And cI will spare them
As a man spares his own son who serves him.”
Between the righteous and the wicked,
Between one who serves God
And one who does not serve Him.

Malachi 3:16-17
And in the process we are being purified into a special people who have a zest for noble deeds. What a wonderful way to put it. That is the way Moffatt says it: "a zest for the right and noble deeds." And in the process we become a special treasure to God. Brethren, connect that with Malachi 3.
This special treasure, He says, are the ones that He is going to preserve through the time that is coming—His jewels.
