Mark 13:29
Compare all
27 And then He will send His angels, and gather together His1 elect from the four winds, from the farthest part of earth to the farthest part of heaven.

The Parable of the Fig Tree

28 a“Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.
29 So you also, when you see these things happening, know that1 it is near—at the doors!
30 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.
31 Heaven and earth will pass away, but aMy words will by no means pass away.

No One Knows the Day or Hour

32 “But of that day and hour ano one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the bFather.

Mark 13:29

So ye, in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass—rather, "coming to pass."

know that it—"the kingdom of God" (Luke 21:31).

In Luke (Luke 21:28) the following words precede these: "And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh"—their redemption, in the first instance certainly, from Jewish oppression (I Thessalonians 2:14-16; Luke 11:52): but in the highest sense of these words, redemption from all the oppressions and miseries of the present state at the second appearing of the Lord Jesus.
