6 So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered.
7 And ashe brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a1 manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

8 Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And1 behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, aand they were greatly afraid.

Luke 2:7

She laid him in the manger - Perhaps it might rather be translated in the stall. They were lodged in the ox stall, fitted up on occasion of the great concourse, for poor guests. There was no room for them in the inn - Now also, there is seldom room for Christ in an inn. Matthew 1:25
