Compare all
23 So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
24 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”; and it was so.
25 And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
26 Then God said, a“Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; blet them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over1 all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
27 So God created man ain His own image; in the image of God He created him; bmale and female He created them.
28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, a“Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and bsubdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that1 moves on the earth.”

Genesis 1:25

And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, etc. - Every thing both in the animal and vegetable world was made so according to its kind, both in genus and species, as to produce its own kind through endless generations. Thus the several races of animals and plants have been kept distinct from the foundation of the world to the present day. This is a proof that all future generations of plants and animals have been seminally included in those which God formed in the beginning.
