28 For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things:
29 athat you abstain from things offered to idols, bfrom blood, from things strangled, and from csexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well.
Farewell.

Acts 15:30

So they (oi men oun). As in verse Acts 15:3.

When they were dismissed (apoluqentev). First aorist passive participle of apoluw, common verb to loosen, to dismiss. Possibly (Hackett) religious services were held as in verse Acts 15:33 (cf. Acts 13:3) and perhaps an escort for part of the way as in verse Acts 15:3.

The multitude (to plhqov). Public meeting of the church as in verses Acts 15:1-3. Deissmann (Bible Studies, p. 232) gives illustrations from the inscriptions of the use of plhqov for official, political, and religious gatherings. The committee formally "delivered" (epedwkan) the epistle to the church authorities.
