Romans 14:23

21 It is good neither to eat ^ameat nor drink wine nor do anything by which your brother stumbles¹ or is offended or is made weak.

22 ¹Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. ^aHappy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves.

23 But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for ^awhatever is not from faith is sin.

Because it is not of faith - He does not believe it lawful and, in all these cases, whatsoever is not of faith is sin - Whatever a man does without a full persuasion of its lawfulness, it is sin to him.
