1 Imitate^a me, just as I also imitate Christ.

Head Coverings

2 Now I praise you, brethren, that you remember me in all things and keep the traditions just as I delivered them to you.

3 But I want you to know that ^athe head of every man is Christ, ^bthe head of woman is man, and the ^chead of Christ is God.

4 Every man praying or ^aprophesying, having his head covered, dishonors his head.

5 But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, for that is one and the same as if her head were ^ashaved.

I Corinthians 11:1 Dress and Conduct in the Church SUMMARY OF I Corinthians 11: Men in Church to Pray with Uncovered Heads. Women to Be Veiled. Disorderly Assemblies. The Abuse of Love Feasts. The Lord's Supper Profaned. The Lesson from Christ's Appointment of the Ordinance. Must Be Eaten with Solemn Reverence. Be ye followers of me even as I also [am] of Christ. This refers to I Corinthians 10:33. Like him, they should not seek to "please themselves", but to so act as to save others.
