Unity and Diversity in One Body

12 For aas the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, bso also is Christ.
13 For aby one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—bwhether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and chave all been made to drink into one Spirit.
14 For in fact the body is not one member but many.
15 If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body?
16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body,” is it therefore not of the body?
17 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling?

Articles, Bible studies, and sermons that contain 1 Corinthians 12:14:

I Corinthians 12:14-18

God does things without confusion. He does things in an orderly manner and everybody has been put into the body because He has done it. He has put them into the position in the body that He wants them to be in.

A person may be an elderly widow or widower, but they're just as much a part of the body as some vigorous young man or woman in the prime of their health. If a person has an eighth grade education, they are just as much a part of the body as someone who has a doctor's degree. If God has put them in the body, they are part of it, and the body needs them or God would not have done it. He doesn't do things without purpose.

I Corinthians 12:14-15

And within the Body—that is, among all of its individual parts—there is a great deal of diversity, but also equality. Let's watch how this unfolds. It has very much to do with government. There is diversity, but there is also equality.

The apostle Paul is saying, "That's ridiculous!" The foot is just as much a part of the body as the hand is.
