O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you1 that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed2 among you as crucified?
This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, aor by the hearing of faith?
Are you so foolish? aHaving begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by bthe flesh?
aHave you suffered so1 many things in vain—if indeed itwas in vain?
Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, doesHedoit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?—
just as Abraham a“believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”
Therefore know that onlyathose who are of faith are sons of Abraham.
Galatians 3:2 Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Let them answer this. He had preached Christ to them, they had heard, believed and obeyed; not a word was said of the works of the law; yet God had acknowledged the work by imparting his Spirit.
