Ephesians 6:8
Compare all
6 anot with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart,
7 with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men,
8 aknowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.
9 And you, masters, do the same things to them, giving up threatening, knowing that1 your own aMaster also is in heaven, and bthere is no partiality with Him.

The Whole Armor of God

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
11 aPut on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the1 wiles of the devil.

Ephesians 6:8

Whatsoever good thing each one doeth (ekastov ean ti poihsh agaqon). Literally, "each one if he do anything good." Condition of third class, undetermined, but with prospect. Note use here of agaqon rather than adikon (one doing wrong) in Colossians 3:25. So it is a reward (komisetai) for good, not a penalty for wrong, though both are true, "whether he be bond or free" (eite doulov eite eleuqerov).
