Excerpted from: Preparing to Rule (1993)They were already sanctified. But here Paul is indicating, again, a process. The sanctification, brethren, intensifies. It is something that is to be magnified in the lives, the understanding, and in the mind of God’s people, because this is where they have their input—their point of cooperation with God—in achieving God’s purpose in reproducing Himself.
Sanctification takes place when we come out of sin. That is what makes it become pure.
