Hebrews 10:14
Compare all
12 aBut this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down bat the right hand of God,
13 from that time waiting atill His enemies are made His footstool.
14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being1 sanctified.
15 But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before,
16 a“This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,”
17 then He adds, a“Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”
18 Now where there is1 remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.

Hebrews 10:14

For—The sacrifice being "for ever" in its efficacy (Hebrews 10:12) needs no renewal.

them that are sanctified—rather as Greek, "them that are being sanctified." The sanctification (consecration to God) of the elect (I Peter 1:2) believers is perfect in Christ once for all (see on Hebrews 10:10). (Contrast the law, Hebrews 7:19; Hebrews 9:9; Hebrews 10:1). The development of that sanctification is progressive.
