Hebrews 12:14
Excerpted from: Life, Fortunes, Sacred Honor

Holiness is nothing but being like God. God is holy! He says, without holiness no one will see God. Does that not seem to you that that is the issue, becoming holy? I will be talking a lot more about that as we go along through the Feast of Tabernacles.

The issue is becoming holy, or in another term, going on to perfection. Holiness is perfection. Another way to put it is, growing to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. Now we have three synonyms here: the issue is holiness, the issue is perfection, the issue is growing to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. The issue is being prepared for the Kingdom of God.

Hebrews 12:14
Excerpted from: What Is Prayer?

We are to pursue peace and holiness. We are to pursue peace because there is no peace. There is no peace because of this communication we have had with Satan. We are reflecting his nature and the earth is filled with violence. So there is not peace. It has to be pursued after. And we have to pursue after holiness.

Those are some pretty strong words. The work of God on earth is to produce holiness in His children. Without that holiness being in us, no one will see the LORD. Flip back a few more pages to II Corinthians 7.

Hebrews 12:14
Excerpted from: We are Called to Liberty

Additionally, the author of Hebrews states in Hebrews 12:14, "Without holiness, no one will see the Lord." So this is the very heart of what we are talking about when we speak of living sacrifices: holiness is the ultimate goal, the point to which the entire epistle to the Romans has been leading. Romans is about salvation, and salvation does not mean that Jesus died to save us in our sins, but to save us from our sins.

Hebrews 12:14-15
Excerpted from: Things Pertaining to the Kingdom!

Another wrong attitude is to have hurt feelings or bitterness toward others. If a root of bitterness is not eradicated quickly, it will ultimately consume and destroy a person.
