22 Since you ahave purified your souls in obeying the truth1 through the Spirit in sincere blove of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart,
23 ahaving been born again, not of1 corruptible seed but incorruptible, bthrough the word of God which lives and abides3 forever,
24 because
a“All flesh is as grass,
And all1 the glory of man as the flower of the grass.
The grass withers,
And its flower falls away,

The grass withers,
And its flower falls away,
25 aBut the1 word of the Lord endures forever.” bNow this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.
