The Chosen Stone and His Chosen People

4 Coming to Him as to a living stone, ^arejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious,

5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

I Peter 2:2 As newborn babes. The new birth has been spoken of in I Peter 1:23. They are babes in Christ. Babes hunger for milk. Let babes in Christ earnestly desire the sincere milk of the word. "The spiritual milk which is without guile" (Revised Version). This word, unadulterated, is the food upon which Christians must feed in order to grow.
