Knowing the True—Rejecting the False

18 We know that awhoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God bkeeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.  
19 We know that we are of God, and athe whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.  
20 And we know that the aSon of God has come and bhas given us an understanding, cthat we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. dThis is the true God eand eternal life.  
21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

1 John 5:20

I John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come. Not only by testimony from men but by God's witness. We have life in Christ, and Christ dwells in us. This is the true God, and eternal life. In Christ the true God is revealed to us, and in him we have eternal life.
