Jude 1:22
Compare all

Maintain Your Life with God

20 But you, beloved, abuilding yourselves up on your most holy faith, bpraying in the Holy Spirit,
21 keep yourselves in the love of God, alooking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22 And on some have compassion,1 making a distinction;
23 but aothers save with fear, bpulling them out of the fire, hating even cthe garment defiled by the flesh.

Glory to God

24 aNow to Him who is able to keep1 you from stumbling,
And bto present you faultless
Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,
25 To1 God our Savior,
1Who alone is wise,
Be glory and majesty,
Dominion and1 power,
Both now and forever.
Amen.

Jude 1:22

And on some (kai ouv men). Demonstrative plural of ov men—ov de (ouv de, below), not the relative ouv, but by contrast (men, de). So Matthew 13:8.

Have mercy (eleate). Present active imperative of eleaw (rare form in Romans 9:16 also for the usual eleew Matthew 9:27). But A C read elegxete, refute, in place of eleate. The text of this verse is in much confusion.

Who are in doubt (diakrinomenouv). Present middle participle of diakrinw, in the accusative case agreeing with ouv men, though K L P have the nominative. If the accusative and eleate is read, see James 1:6 for the idea (doubters). If elegxete is read, see Judges 1:9 for the idea (disputers).
