Revelation 18:4

2 And he cried¹ mightily with a loud voice, saying, ^a“Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and ^bhas become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and ^ca cage for every unclean and hated bird!

3 For all the nations ^ahave drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, ^band the merchants of the earth have become rich through the¹ abundance of her luxury.”

4 And I heard another voice from heaven saying, ^a“Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.

5 ^aFor her sins have reached to heaven, and ^bGod has remembered her iniquities.

6 ^aRender to her just as she rendered¹ to you, and repay her double according to her works; ^bin the cup which she has mixed, ^cmix double for her.

Come forth, my people, out of her (ecelqate, o laov mou, ec authv). Second aorist (urgency) active imperative (-a form) of ecerxomai. Like Isaiah 48:20; Isaiah 52:11; Jeremiah 50:8; Jeremiah 51:6, (about Babylon). See also the call of Abram (Genesis 12:1). the rescue of Lot (Genesis 19:12 ff.). In the N.T. see Mark 13:4; II Corinthians 6:14; Ephesians 5:11; I Timothy 5:11. o laov is vocative with the form of the nominative.

That ye have no fellowship with her sins (ina mh sunkoinwnhshte taiv amartaiv authv). Purpose clause with ina mh and the first aorist active subjunctive of sunkoinwnew, old compound (sun, together, koinwnov, partner), in N.T. only here, Philippians 4:14; Ephesians 5:11. With associative instrumental case amartiaiv.

And that ye receive not of her plagues (kai ek twn plhgwn authv ina mh labhte). Another purpose clause dependent on the preceding, with ina mh and the second aorist active subjunctive of lambanw, and with proleptic emphatic position of ek twn plhgwn authv before ina mh.
