29 The rest of the oil that is in the priest’s hand he shall put on the head of him who is to be cleansed, to make atonement for him before the Lord.
30 And he shall offer one of athe turtledoves or young pigeons, such as he can afford—  
31 such as he is able to afford, the one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering, with the grain offering. So the priest shall make atonement for him who is to be cleansed before the Lord.
32 This is the law for one who had a leprous sore, who cannot afford athe usual cleansing.”

33 And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying:
34 a“When you have come into the land of Canaan, which I give you as a possession, and bI put the leprous plague in a house in the land of your possession,  
35 and he who owns the house comes and tells the priest, saying, ‘It seems to me that there is asome plague in the house,’

LEVITICUS. So called from its treating of the laws relating to the ritual, the services, and sacrifices of the Jewish religion, the superintendence of which was entrusted to the Levitical priesthood. It is chiefly, however, the duties of the priests, "the sons of Aaron," which this book describes; and its claim to be the work of Moses is established by the following passages:— II Chronicles 30:16; Nehemiah 8:14; Jeremiah 7:22-23; Ezekiel 20:11 Matthew 8:4; Luke 2:22; John 8:5; Romans 10:4; Romans 13:9; II Corinthians 6:16; Galatians 3:12; I Peter 1:16.
