2 And he ^asaid:
^b“The Lord is my rock and my ^cfortress and my deliverer; ‡

3 The God of my strength, ^ain whom I will trust;
My ^bshield and the ^chorn of my salvation,
My ^dstronghold and my ^erefuge;
My Savior, You save me from violence. ‡

6 The ^asorrows of Sheol surrounded me;
The snares of death confronted me. ‡

7 In my distress ^aI called upon the Lord,
And cried out to my God;
He ^bheard my voice from His temple,
And my cry entered His ears. ‡
