The meaning of Bathshua in the Bible
(From International Standard Bible Encyclopedia)

bath'-shu-a (bath-shua', "the daughter of opulence" or "the daughter of Shua"; compare BATH-SHEBA; for derivation see HPN, 67, 69, note 3):

(1) In Genesis 38:2 and I Chronicles 2:3, where the name is translated "Shua's daughter," the wife of Judah.

(2) In I Chronicles 3:5, the daughter of Ammiel and wife of David.
