The meaning of Hereby in the Bible

her-bi', represents bezo'th, "in or by this" (Genesis 42:15 "Hereby ye shall be proved"); ek toutou, "out of this" (I John 4:6, the Revised Version (British and American) "by this"); en touto, "in this," "by this means" (I Corinthians 4:4; I John 2:3, I John 2:1; I John 3:16, I John 3:19, I John 3:24; I John 4:2, I John 4:13).
