The meaning of Jobab in the Bible
(From International Standard Bible Encyclopedia)jo'-bab (yobhabh, perhaps "howling"; Iobab):
(1) "Son" of Joktan (Genesis 10:29; I Chronicles 1:23).

(2) An Edomite king (Genesis 36:33, Genesis 36:14; I Chronicles 1:44-45).
(3) King of Madon (Joshua 11:1).
(4) I Chronicles 8:9; and (5) I Chronicles 8:18, Benjamites.
The name is confused with that of Job in Septuagint of Job 42:17.
