The meaning of Kain (2) in the Bible

(qayin): A clan name, the King James Version "the Kenite" (Numbers 24:22; Judges 4:11). In the first passage the Revised Version (British and American) has "Kain" and margin "the Kenites"; in the second, the Revised Version (British and American) has "the Kenite" in text and margin "Kain."
