The meaning of Wellspring in the Bible
(From International Standard Bible Encyclopedia)wel'-spring (maqor): Usually "spring" or "fountain" (figuratively), translated "wellspring" only in two passages: "Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it" (Proverbs 16:22); "The wellspring of wisdom is as a flowing brook" (Proverbs 18:4).
