The meaning of Rechab in the Bible
(From Easton's Bible Dictionary)horseman, or chariot.
One of Ishbosheth's "captains of bands" or leaders of predatory troops (II Samuel 4:2). The father of Jehonadab, who was the father of the Rechabites (II Kings 10:15,23; Jeremiah 35:6-19).
