The meaning of Shaalabbin in the Bible
(From Easton's Bible Dictionary)

or Shaal'bim, a place of foxes, a town of the tribe of Dan (Joshua 19:42; Judges 1:35). It was one of the chief towns from which Solomon drew his supplies (I Kings 4:9). It is probably the modern village of Selbit, 3 miles north of Ajalon.
