The meaning of White in the Bible
(From Easton's Bible Dictionary)

a symbol of purity (II Chronicles 5:12; Psalms 51:7; Isaiah 1:18; Revelation 3:18; 7:14). Our Lord, at his transfiguration, appeared in raiment "white as the light" (Matthew 17:2, etc.).
