The meaning of Zabdi in the Bible
(From Easton's Bible Dictionary)

gift of Jehovah.

  • An ancestor of Achan (Joshua 7:1,17,18). He is probably the "Zimri" of I Chronicles 2:6.

  • A Benjamite (I Chronicles 8:19).

  • Called "the Shiphmite," one of David's officers, who had charge of his vineyards (I Chronicles 27:27).

  • A Levite, one of the sons of Asaph (Nehemiah 11:17); probably the same as Zichri (I Chronicles 9:15), and Zaccur (Nehemiah 12:35).
