John 6:41-42 The Jews do not "see" Him because they say, in effect, "How can He say He came down from heaven when we know who His father and mother are?" Their emotions have reached the pitch of dissatisfied, sullen grumbling. They are saying to each other, "We have known Him since childhood. How does He expect us to believe Him?" 2 Thessalonians 2:3 Apostasy ("the falling away") is not necessarily a departure from an organized body but a departure from truth, as the context shows.
