Romans 13:14

12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. ^aTherefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and ^blet us put on the armor of light.

13 ^aLet us walk¹ properly, as in the day, ^bnot in revelry and drunkenness, ^cnot in lewdness and lust, ^dnot in strife and envy.

14 But ^aput on the Lord Jesus Christ, and ^bmake no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

Romans 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ. For the way to put on Christ, see Galatians 3:27. To put on Christ is to enter into fellowship with him. He who is in fellowship with Christ cannot fulfill the lusts of the flesh. "He walks after the Spirit, and not after the flesh" (Romans 8:1).
