but unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

Amplified® Bible
But for Cain and his offering He had no respect {or} regard. So Cain was exceedingly angry {and} indignant, and he looked sad {and} depressed.

Contemporary English Version
but not with Cain and his offering. This made Cain so angry that he could not hide his feelings.
