Romans 1:8
This congregation was already so well established that other people in the world (presumably around the Mediterranean Sea) had already heard of the faith of the converted people in Rome. It must have been outstanding for him to make a statement like this, yet nonetheless, he still wanted to go there and preach the gospel to them.
Does this not show us that it is the responsibility of the ministry, the pastors of the church, including the apostles, evangelists, and local elders, to preach the gospel of the Kingdom of God continually to the church? Our faith, the body of truth, remember, is the source of our spiritual strength.

Romans 1:8
Through the apostle Paul's example, we see that it is our duty to be thankful for each other on a constant basis. It is difficult to be upset with someone while at the same time thanking God that he is our brother in Christ.
Spurred by outgoing concern for others, we can be thankful for the faith of Christ exhibited in them, their conversion, the true love they show through obedience to His Word, the earnest care or zeal exhibited by them for the brethren and God's work. The list is endless (II Corinthians 9:11).

We should be thankful to the God the Father first, then God the Son, giving thanks in the name of Jesus Christ. All thanksgiving should be expressed through Christ.

What Does Romans 1:8 Mean?
The faith of the converted people in Rome was spoken of throughout the world, showing it was outstanding. This points to the responsibility of the ministry to preach the gospel of the Kingdom of God continually to the church, since faith is the source of spiritual strength. Through the apostle Paul's example, it is the duty to be thankful for one another constantly, expressing thanks to God the Father first, then God the Son, through Jesus Christ, for the faith of Christ exhibited in others, their conversion, true love shown through obedience to His Word, and zeal for the brethren and God's work.
